Hacienda El Viejo and Palo Verde National Park
Palo Verde protects a portion of the Tempisque River lowlands, an amazingly diverse patchwork of habitats, including freshwater and saltwater marshes, deciduous, riparian and evergreen forests. The marshes are an extremely important stopover point for migratory animals.
To make this an exceptional experience, a tasty lunch at “La Casona”, a wood building built in the XIX Century.
